Vishay General Semiconductor eSMP® SMP TVS Diodes
Vishay General Semiconductors eSMP® SMP TVS Diodes offer the same current and power ratings as the SMA package in a 44% smaller footprint. These diodes deliver a power rating of 2A with excellent levels of thermal resistance. The SMP series is ideal for power supply and conversion applications, such as desktop and notebook PCs, servers, disk drives, mobile phones, PDAs, and hybrid ICs. The SMP TVS allows designers to reduce the size of power circuitry in applications for automotive electronic sensors and control units, enabling more space-efficient end products.
Vishay General Semiconductors Surface-Mount TransZorb® Transient Voltage Suppressors are single-chip packages (DO-220AA) featuring solder pads that are compatible with other SMD devices. When the SMP series are used as a higher-performance upgrade to existing devices, no modification is needed. Typical junction-to-case thermal resistance is a low 20°C/W with low incremental surge resistance.
High Power Density Surface-Mount PAR® Transient Voltage Suppressors handle up to 400W with breakdown voltages from 13V to 43V. The TPSMP series is designed for use in consumer, computer, industrial, and automotive applications. The devices are designed to protect ICs, transistors, signal lines of sensor units, and electronic units from electrostatic discharges, lightning surges, and other transient voltages. The series is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications.
