u-blox BMD-345 BLUETOOTH® Module

U-blox BMD-345 BLUETOOTH® Module is an advanced, highly flexible, low-power multiprotocol System on Module (SoM). This module enables Bluetooth 5 low energy and IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread and Zigbee®) connectivity for portable and low-power embedded systems. The BMD-345 module has an Arm® Cortex®-M4 with an FPU processor, integrated 2.4GHz transceiver, RF power and low noise amplifiers (PA/LNA), and a U.FL connector. This BMD-345 provides a full RF solution that allows faster time to market with reduced development costs and full use of Nordic's nRF52840 capabilities and peripherals.

The BMD-345 is an ideal solution for designs that require maximum range and Bluetooth 5 features or 802.15.4-based networking for Thread and Zigbee. The BMD-345 designs are footprint-compatible with the BMD-301, which offers low-cost flexibility for tiered product lineups. Typical applications include climate control, lighting products, safety and security, home appliances, access control, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
