Texas Instruments TPS25730 USB Type-C® & USB PD Controllers

Texas Instruments TPS25730 USB Type-C® and USB PD Controllers are highly integrated, stand-alone controllers optimized for sink-only applications supporting USB-C PD power. The TPS25730 combines a fully managed power path with robust protection for a complete USB-C PD solution.

The TI TPS25730 also can control an external power path through internal gate drivers. The TPS25730 is well-suited for sink-only applications that a barrel jack may have previously powered. Users can use resistor pin strapping to facilitate a fully featured USB Type-C PD port with the TPS25730 on the platform. There is no need for an external EEPROM, an external microcontroller, or any firmware development.

The TPS25730 is designed to make setting up a sink-only USB Type-C application simple and robust. A user has all of the benefits of a barrel jack port while taking advantage of the benefits of USB Type-C and USB Type-C PD.
