Performance Motion Devices Magellan® MC58113 Single-Axis Motion Control IC are high-performance integrated circuits with an integrated digital current loop. These programmable motor control ICs excel at positioning, velocity, and torque control for Brushless DC, DC Brush, and stepper motors. The components provide trajectory generation, programmable breakpoints, advanced performance trace, and other related motion control functions. The Performance Motion Devices MC58113 IC is packaged in a single 100-pin TQFP operating at 3.3V. 

The MC58113 motion control processor offers a range of features depending on the type of motor being used. It provides servo-loop closure, onboard commutation for Brushless DC motors, advanced power management, pulse and direction output, digital current control, and various amplifier management capabilities. A host controls the processor via SPI, CANbus, or RS232/485 serial communication. Users can choose from multiple profiling modes, including S-curve, trapezoidal, velocity contouring, and electronic gearing.

The Performance Motion Devices Magellan Motion Control ICs provide a flexible and powerful instruction set to initialize and control motion axes, monitor performance, and synchronize overall machine behavior. Working with Magellan ICs and Pro-Motion® development software makes graphing and analyzing system performance fast, while C-Motion® language allows users to develop applications using C/C++.
