DFRobot DFR1234 WIAnode Wireless Interactive Art Node
DFRobot DFR1234 WIAnode Wireless Interactive Art Node connects physical sensors and outputs to creative software over Wi-Fi. The DFR1234 brings touch, motion, distance, light, temperature, and button inputs into TouchDesigner and other compatible environments without requiring microcontroller programming, driver installation, or an external MQTT server. Built-in wireless communication, sensor-data handling, and standardized output help shorten the path from an interactive concept to a working installation.
The DFRobot WIAnode delivers plug-and-play I2C connections, configurable I/O, and dedicated servo outputs for linking software with physical input, lighting, and movement. A built-in OLED displays network information, while an RGB indicator communicates the connection status. Multiple nodes can operate independently on the same network, and a single node can share live data with multiple software clients for collaborative development and distributed installations.
Support for TouchDesigner, Unity, Unreal Engine, Max/MSP, vvvv, and other MQTT-compatible tools provides flexibility across interactive art, performance, education, and creative prototyping workflows. USB Type-C® power enables operation with compatible wall adapters or portable power banks, allowing flexible placement.
