Features of R-78's include very low profiles, low ripple and noise, and short circuit, overload, and overtemperature protection. The R-78 components are fully certified to EN 60601-1-2 (Medical Equipment), EN 55022 (Emissions), and EN55024 (Immunity), EMC standards, and for EN-60950-1 safety.

This RECOM Power regulator module series also features 100V surge withstand capability, meaning only a simple LC filter is needed for Class A and B EMC conformity.
