NewAE Technology UFO Baseboard
NewAE Technology UFO Baseboard (CW308) provides the perfect host to Target Boards for use with either the ChipWhisperer Pro (CW1200) or the ChipWhisperer-Lite (CW1173) capture tools. The UFO Baseboard includes all the standard requirements for a microcontroller, such as a regulated power supply, oscillators, and filters. It features three 20-pin female headers used to connect Target Boards. Several Programming Headers and a standard 20-pin JTAG Header are provided for the Target Board.
NewAE Technology offers many available target examples and provides all levels of architectures for the user to test against, including 8-bit microcontrollers, 32-bit microcontrollers, and FPGAs. Blank Target boards are also offered for custom prototyping. The UFO Baseboard can also be used as a stand-alone testing platform when combined with an external DC power supply and an SMA-to-BNC to connect the voltage measurement to an oscilloscope.
Once the Target Board is mounted on the UFO Baseboard, developers can use a ChipWhisperer Capture device, or an oscilloscope, to conduct side-channel power analysis and evaluate glitch and fault injection vulnerabilities of the developer's hardware projects.

- 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and V-ADJ (1.25V to 3.5V range) power supply options
- Oscillator driver with crystal socket to allow the use of most two or three-pin crystals to drive target device or ChipWhisperer
- On-board LC low-pass filter to provide a "clean" power supply for resistive shunt measurement
- Diode protection on I/O lines to allow voltage glitch insertion on target with less risk to connected devices
- Soft-start on input power to avoid disconnecting ChipWhisperer-Lite USB when switching power on/off
- Includes blank, prototype, 8-bit, and 32-bit target boards
