Vishay / Dale Chip-on-Glass (COG) OLED Display Modules feature a display controller etched into the glass rather than on a PCB. This design eliminates the need for external graphics controllers and offers per-pixel control of the display buffer. Vishay / Dale COG OLED Display Modules are available in both graphic and character formats.
The character display modules are made up of arrays of pixel grids and are mostly used for displaying text or small icons.
The graphic display modules are made up of a single large grid of pixels. These units can display text but are best for displaying images.
