Texas Instruments TPS7B91 LDO Linear Voltage Regulators

Texas Instruments TPS7B91 Low-Dropout (LDO) Linear Voltage Regulators are low-quiescent current devices. The TPS7B91 offers a wide input voltage range (up to 40V), wide output range, and low-power operation in miniaturized packaging. The wide output range is up to VIN − VDO for the adjustable configuration or up to 12V for the fixed configuration. The TPS7B91 is optimized to power microcontrollers and other low-power loads for battery-powered applications. The TPS7B91 is stable with an output capacitor range of 1.0µF to 47µF.

The Texas Instruments TPS7B91 low quiescent current (1.8µA typically) makes this device designed for battery-powered or always-on systems that require very little idle-state power dissipation. The TPS7B91 LDO supports a low dropout of typically 900mV at 150mA of load current. The TPS7B91 also features an internal soft-start to lower the inrush current during start-up. The built-in fold-back overcurrent limit protection and thermal shutdown help protect the regulator in the event of a load short or fault condition. The TPS7B91 is available in a 2.9mm × 2.8mm, 5-pin SOT-23 (DBV) package for fixed and adjustable outputs.
