Texas Instruments TPS66020EVM Evaluation Module
Texas Instruments TPS66020EVM Evaluation Module design is targeted for USB Type-C™ and Power Delivery (PD) applications. The TPS66020EVM Evaluation Module allows for evaluating the TPS66020 IC as part of a stand-alone testing kit and testing of USB Type-C and Power Delivery (PD) end products. The TPS66020 is a full-featured power switch multiplexer that contains an integrated 5V source power path and a 4V to 22V sink power path. The Texas Instruments TPS66020EVM evaluation module features a micro USB port for power on, a Type C USB connector, protection circuitry, and a header for control pins from a PD controller board.
Features
- Power switch to interface a USB power delivery (PD) controller for testing and verification
- TPS66020 has a power switch multiplexer that contains an integrated 5V source power path and a 4V to 22V sink power path
- VBUS has over-voltage protection, with its level being set by an external resistor divider
- Each power path supports overtemperature and reverse current protection

- USB 2.0 Micro Cable and Power Supply or a 5V/1A Bench Power supply for power on the TPS66020 device
- One bench power supply up to 25V, a maximum current of 5A to source or sink power
- Cables for the power supply and the test points in the TPS66020EVM
- DMM (Digital Volt Meter)
- Oscilloscope
- TPS65988EVM evaluation module
- PD Source such as a Type-C power supply
