NXP Semiconductors S32K344MINI-EVB Evaluation Board

NXP Semiconductors S32K344MINI-EVB Evaluation Board is a powerful and versatile platform for various embedded applications, particularly in automotive and industrial systems. The NXP S32K344MINI-EVB features two Arm® Cortex®-M7 cores in lock-step mode with a floating-point unit (FPU) running at 160MHz, enabling the execution of advanced algorithms for data analysis and diagnostics. S32K344MINI-EVB integrates the NXP PTN5110 USB Power Delivery (PD) PHY, enabling high-voltage, high-current power and data through a single USB Type-C® port. The board also includes the NXP SBC FS26, which provides +5.0V and +3.3V power rails for ASIL D-compliant systems, making it ideal for data analysis, diagnostics, motor control, and rapid prototyping. Arduino UNO footprint compatibility allows for easy integration with various expansion shields, such as the DEVKIT-MOTORGD for motor control or DEVKIT-COMM for communication.

The S32K344MINI-EVB features an integrated OpenSDA debug adapter, which supports multiple industry-standard debug interfaces via the onboard K26 MCU. Additionally, it includes a USB Type-C connector and an RJ45 Ethernet connector for convenient connectivity. For external debugging, the board includes a 20-pin JTAG connector. Additional user-friendly features include a push button, an RGB LED, and easy access to selected MCU I/O pins for prototyping. The inclusion of CAN FD (5Mbit/s) and LIN (2.1/SAE J2602) physical layers, powered by the TJA1043 and TJA1022 transceivers, ensures reliable communication for automotive and industrial applications. Overall, the S32K344MINI-EVB provides a robust platform for developing and prototyping a wide variety of embedded systems.
