NXP Semiconductors PCAL6524 Ultra-Low Voltage I/O Expander
NXP Semiconductors PCAL6524 Ultra-Low Voltage I/O Expander provides remote I/O expansion for most microcontrollers using a Fast-mode Plus (Fm+) I2C-bus interface. The PCAL6524 24-bit general-purpose I/O expander has an ultra-low-voltage interface for direct connection to microcontrollers. This device provides a simple solution for when additional I/Os are needed while keeping interconnections to a minimum. This is ideal for battery-powered mobile applications for interfacing with sensors, pushbuttons, and keypads.Features
- I2C-bus to parallel port expanders
- Operating power supply voltage range of 0.8V to 3.6V on the I2C-bus side
