Mikroe Silent Step 3 Click
Mikroe Silent Step 3 Click is an integrated bipolar step motor driver solution with features allowing smooth and silent operation. The motor provides up to a 4A peak current and can withstand up to 30V supply voltage. The Mikroe Step 3 features a specialized TMC2660 IC driver from Trinamic that far exceeds the capabilities of similar step motor drivers.
The Silent Step 3 click is the intelligence and power between the main MCU, as a motion controller, and the two-phase stepper motor. The device achieves outstanding performance with a wide range of various step motors. This is thanks to several technologies like stallGuard2™, a high-precision sensorless motor load detection. Other features include spreadCycle™, a highly dynamic motor current control, and microPlayer™ micro step interpolation for increased smoothness with coarse step inputs.
