AC-Coupled Hydrogen Electrolysis
Hydrogen production consists of many modules, including high-speed fuses, arc-flash relays, ground fault monitoring, surge protection devices, and power conversion AC-DC products. Benefits provided by these products include high current limiting, arc energy reduction, fault current limiting, and custom optimization.
DC-Coupled Hydrogen Electrolysis
Power conversion occurs within hydrogen production and includes AC-to-DC and DC-DC products. Arc-flash relays within this process significantly reduce the incident energy from an arc-flash event by detecting the light from an arc and providing an immediate trip signal. In contrast, the surge protection device reduces the overvoltages caused by switching transients and lightning strikes.
