Broadcom HCPL High Speed Digital Isolators
Broadcom HCPL High-Speed Digital Isolators feature fast timing performance and excellent transient immunity specifications. The HCPL digital isolators are available as single-channel, dual-channel, and quad-channel digital isolators. These isolators have an asymmetric magnetic coupling barrier that offers typical pulse width distortion of 2ns, propagation delay skew of 4ns, and a 100Mbaud data rate. The HPCL digital isolators are available in 8-pin PDIP, 8-pin gull wing, 8-pin SOIC packages, and 16-pin SOIC narrow- and wide-body packages. These isolators operate within a -40°C to +100°C temperature range and a 3V to 5.5V voltage range. Typical applications include digital fieldbus isolation, multiplexed data transmission, computer peripheral interface, high-speed digital systems, isolated data interfaces, and logic level shifting. The single-channel digital isolators (HCPL-9000/-0900) feature an active-low logic output enable.
The dual-channel digital isolators are configured as unidirectional (HCPL9030/-0930) and bidirectional (HCPL-9031/-0931), operating in full-duplex mode making these isolators ideal for digital fieldbus applications.
The quad-channel digital isolators are configured as unidirectional (HCPL-900J/-090J), with two channels in one direction and two in the opposite direction (HCPL901J/-091J). These isolators caalso beso configured as one channel in one direction and three channels in the opposite direction (HCPL-902J/-092J). This high channel density makes these isolators ideally suited to isolating data conversion devices, parallel buses, and peripheral interfaces.
