Analog Devices Inc. AD4113 16-Bit Sigma-Delta ADC
Analog Devices AD4113 16-Bit Sigma-Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) is a low-power, low-noise sigma-delta ADC that integrates an analog front end (AFE) for four fully differential or eight single-ended inputs. The AD4113 achieves precision performance by integrating Analog Devices' proprietary iPassives™ technology. The AD4113 has high impedance (≥ 1MΩ) and can accommodate ±10V true bipolar voltage inputs at a maximum channel scan rate of 24.845kSPS (40.25μs) for fully settled data. The output data rates range from 2.5SPS to 125,000SPS.
The AD4113 also integrates key analog and digital signal conditioning blocks, enabling eight individual setups per analog input channel. The user can enable up to 16 channels at any time, each defined as a standard analog voltage input. The embedded 2.5V (5ppm/°C) bandgap internal reference (with an output reference buffer) reduces the external component count.
The digital filter offers flexible settings, including simultaneous 50Hz and 60Hz rejection at a 27.27SPS output data rate. The user can select from different filter settings in the application based on each channel's requirements. The automatic channel sequencer enables the ADC to switch through each enabled channel.
The AD4113 operates from a single 5V power supply, making it easy to use in galvanically isolated applications. The specified operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C. Analog Devices houses the AD4113 in a 40-lead, 6mm × 6mm LFCSP package.
