Mikroe MIKROE-3337 Opto 4 Click

Mikroe MIKROE-3337 Opto 4 Click is a galvanically isolated power switch that uses a power MOSFET in combination with an optocoupler. The power MOSFET can withstand significant current due to its low ON resistance and allows the Click board™ to be used with different power-demanding applications. The Opto 4 Click features a voltage limiting circuit, which cuts off the power supply when the external power supply voltage suddenly drops.

The MIKROE-3337 Opto 4 click uses the LTV-817S optocoupler with a high isolation voltage from LITEON. This single-channel optocoupler uses the low current provided by the output pin of the microcontroller to activate its output stage. The MIKROE-3337 click features high operating voltage, high current capacity, optical galvanic isolation of the controller circuit, and under-voltage protection. This click is well-suited for driving LED stripes, light bulbs, different types of DC motors, and other applications that require an electronically controlled high-current switch.
