Microchip Technology MCP1799 High-Voltage LDO Regulators

Microchip MCP1799 High-Voltage Low Dropout (LDO) Regulators can generate 80mA output current. The input voltage range of 4.5V to 45V makes it ideal for 12V to 36V power rails and high-voltage battery packs. The MCP1799 comes in 3.3V and 5.0V standard fixed output voltage versions. The regulator output is stable with 1µF ceramic capacitors. A low Under Voltage Lock Out (UVLO) at a shutdown of 2.8V makes it adequate for cold cranking conditions in automotive applications. The MCP1799 is protected from short circuit events by the current limit function and from overheating by thermal shutdown protection. The device has a low ground current of 45µA (typical) while delivering a maximum output current of 80mA. The regulators are all (Automotive Electronics Council) AEC-Q100-qualified.
