ESD Protection Solutions

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

AQ3052-02RTG 2-Channel Unidirectional TVS Diode

Littelfuse AQ3052-02RTG 2-Channel Unidirectional TVS Diode is a low-capacitance TVS diode array designed to provide two-channel protections against ESD and lightning-induced surges. This robust device can safely absorb repetitive electrostatic discharge events at the higher levels specified by IEC 61000-4-2 (Level 4, ±8kV contact discharge) without performance degradation. Furthermore, the AQ3052-02RTG unidirectional diode can safely dissipate a 10A surge current with an 8/20μs waveform, ensuring reliable protection for sensitive electronic components (IEC61000-4-5 2nd edition). The typical capacitance of 1pF ensures excellent signal integrity in challenging consumer electronics interfaces. This AEC-Q101-qualified and PPAP-capable TVS diode features low clamping voltage and is suitable for USB 2.0, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, LVDS video lines, and display-port applications.

TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)

Littelfuse Silicon Protection Array (SPA®) TVS Diodes are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. Littelfuse TVS diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.
