STEVAL-IPMnM1S Motor Drive Power Board

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IPMnM1S Motor Drive Power Board is designed to provide an easy-to-use solution for driving high-power motors. The STEVAL-IPMnM1S is based on the STIPNS1M50T-H SLLIMM™ (Small Low Loss Intelligent Molded Module) nano IPM (Intelligent Power Module). The STIPNS1M50T-H IPM intrgrates six MOSFETs and three high voltage half-bridge Gate Drivers. This board offers a wide range of features, including undervoltage lockout, smart shutdown, an internal temperature sensor and NTC, overcurrent protection, and an internal op-amp. The STEVAL-IPMnM1S offers nominal power up to 60W, with a 0.6A nominal current. This power board features a compact size, with a minimal BOM and high efficiency. The board includes an interface circuit (BUS and VCC connectors), bootstrap capacitors, snubber capacitor, hardware short-circuit protection, fault event signal and temperature monitoring. The motor drive board is designed to work in both single-shunt and three-shunt configurations. The STEVAL-IPMnM1S also offers either three dedicated on-board op-amps, op-amps embedded on MCU, or single internal IPM op-amp current sensing options. The Hall/Encoder part completes the circuit. The board is designed to achieve accurate and fast conditioning of current feedback to satisfy the typical requirements for Field Oriented Control (FOC). The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IPMnM1S Motor Drive Power Board is compatible with ST Control Boards based on the STM32 MCU, providing a complete platform for motor control.
