Moduły Bricklet

Moduły Bricklet firmy Tinkerforge to moduły zaprojektowane w celu rozszerzenia funkcji modułów Brick firmy Tinkerforge poprzez dodawanie czujników, wejść/wyjść, interfejsów człowiek-maszyna (HMI) i innych. W przeciwieństwie do modułów Brick, moduły Bricklet nie mają ustalonego rozmiaru. Każdy moduł Bricklet ma najmniejszy możliwy rozmiar. Każdy moduł Brick oferuje maksymalnie cztery podłączenia dla modułów Bricklet. Moduły Bricklet można kontrolować za pomocą połączenia USB podłączonego modułu Brick. Moduły Bricklet nie są wyposażone w procesory, ale każdy z nich ma własny interfejs programowania aplikacji (API). Z punktu widzenia programowania są one obsługiwane jako niezależne moduły. W momencie uruchomienia moduł Brick wykrywa podłączone do niego moduły Bricklet. Wtyczki Bricklet przechowywane w pamięci EEPROM modułu Bricklet, są wczytywane do pamięci flash modułu Brick. Dodaje to do modułu Brick nowe funkcje, z których można korzystać na komputerze.
