AM335x Arm® Cortex™-A8 MPUs

Texas Instruments AM335x Arm® Cortex™-A8 Microprocessors are highly integrated MPUs based on the Cortex-A8 processor that deliver high DMIPs at a low cost while also delivering optional 3D graphics acceleration and key peripherals. These TI Cortex-A8 MPUs include industrial interface options, such as EtherCAT and PROFIBUS, and can support the Linux® and Android™ high-level operating systems. The combination of graphics and connectivity support makes TI AM335x MPUs ideal for portable navigation systems, handheld gaming devices, education, and home/building automation solutions.

AM3358 1GHz Arm®-Based Cortex-8 Microprocessors

Texas Instruments AM3358 1GHz Arm®-Based Cortex-8 Microprocessors are based on an Arm Cortex-8 32-Bit RISC processor. This processor has a frequency of 600/800/1000MHz, a MIPS of 1200/1600/2000, and a 3D graphics accelerator (PowerVR SGX™) designed to support display and gaming effects. The AM3358 processor features two controller-area networks (CANs), dual-core programmable real-time units (PRUs), and comes in a compact 15.0mm x 15.0mm, 324-pin package. These devices are enhanced with image, graphics processing, peripherals, and industrial interface options such as EtherCAT and PROFIBUS. The devices support high-level operating systems (HLOS). Processor SDK Linux® and TI-RTOS are available free of charge from TI. The Texas Instruments AM3358 1GHz Arm-Based Cortex-8 Microprocessors are featured in the Beaglebone Black and Beaglebone Green single-board computers.

Texas Instruments Arm®-Based Cortex™-A Processors integrate Arm Cortex-A cores with flexible peripherals and connectivity. The system is optimized with a rich peripheral set for various applications, from sensors to servers. These Texas Instruments Arm-Based Processors offer simple displays and high-performance HMIs with 3D graphics and HD video multimedia options.
