F72 & F75 Conformal Tantalum Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX F72 and F75 Tantalum Capacitors are conformal coated chip capacitors compliant with RoHS directive 2011/65/EU. The conformal structure allows a larger amount of capacitance in a smaller package to save board space. Typical applications for these capacitors include smartphones, wireless modules, hearing aids, and mobile phones. These KYOCERA AVX SMD chips are available as low profile (F72) or maximum capacitance/voltage (CV) (F75) variants.

Capacitor Solutions

KYOCERA AVX provides a large portfolio of capacitor solutions designed around density, size, and reliability requirements. Common capacitor types include aluminum electrolytic, tantalum electrolytic, ceramic, and film. KYOCERA AVX ceramic capacitors are commonly used in DC-DC converters, which can be found in nearly every subsystem of electric vehicles (EVs).

As tantalum technology continues to develop, KYOCERA AVX products provide downsizing opportunities, higher capacitance ratings, new case sizes, and low ESR options for critical output filtering applications. KYOCERA AVX offers a wide range of tantalum solid SMD capacitors to meet the needs of the consumer, medical, military, and aerospace industries.

F75 Conformal Max-CV Electrolytic Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX F75 Conformal Maximum CV Solid Tantalum Electrolytic Capacitors are conformal coated chip capacitors that are compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC. The conformal structure allows for a larger amount of capacitance in a smaller package and helps to save board space. These KYOCERA AVX F75 capacitors are available with capacitance rated from 330µF to 2200µF in 4V, 6.3V, 10V, and 16V and offer ESR (at 100Hz) from 0.07Ω to 0.22Ω.

High CV SMD Capacitor Solutions

KYOCERA AVX High Capacitance / Voltage (CV) SMD Capacitors are designed to enable optimum performance across all power applications. This ceramic capacitor solution for SMD applications includes extremely high CV (X5R) MLCCs with low ESR for general-purpose decoupling and filtering and high CV (X7R, X7S, and X8R) MLCCs with FlexiTerm for industrial, automotive (AEC-Q200), and commercial applications. KYOCERA AVX Electrolytic Capacitor solutions include small case size tantalum chip, conductive polymer, and fail-safe niobium oxide (Oxicap™) that overlap with commercial, industrial, and AEC-Q200 ceramic ratings, in many cases providing interchangeable solutions. In contrast, the larger case sizes provide even higher CV options.
